Some transformations are loud and abrupt, while others happen in silence. Evolving Grounds reflects that subtle process of change, where the past is still present, yet the future is already unfolding.

During my journey on Kona Island, I walked and drove across solidified lava—a landscape that was once flowing fire, now reshaped into something new. It reminded me how everything is constantly in motion, even when it seems still. Just like the earth, we change too. We leave things behind, carry experiences with us, and slowly become something new.

This painting is an ode to transformation, growth, and the power of what remains. A piece for those who recognize change, who feel the echoes of the past within them, and who embrace the beauty of what is yet to come.
